Growing features

In the middle zone of the Russian Federation, Siberian apple tomatoes are recommended to be grown in film greenhouses, and in the southern regions they grow well in open ground. The main feature of this type of tomato is that they give the greatest yield when a bush is formed into two stems. This variety is characterized by a simple inflorescence, and the stalks are usually not articulated.

Planting the seeds of these tomatoes for seedlings usually occurs in late March or early April. They must be deepened into the ground by 2-3 centimeters. Before sowing, the seeds should be treated with potassium permanganate and rinsed with warm water. When one or two true leaves appear on the seedlings, it is necessary to dive them. Throughout the entire period of seedling growth, it is required to feed it two or three times with complex fertilizer.

About a week before planting, the seedlings must be hardened. In open ground, seedlings are planted at the age of 55-70 days, when the threat of frost disappears. In the Non-Black Earth Zone, planting seedlings in open ground should be carried out from 5 to 10 June.

Seedlings can be planted in temporary film shelters from 15 to 20 May. When planting, the distance between plants should be 70 centimeters, and between rows - 30-40 centimeters. These tomatoes will feel best in fertile, not heavy soils.

Plants require garters and shaping. Siberian apple tomatoes should be regularly watered with warm water. During the growing season, 2-3 fertilizing of plants with a complex water-soluble mineral fertilizer should be done.
